MDCKII cell-based models for active transport drug-drug interaction studies and specific cleareance

Preadyport, is ReadyCell transport kit family of products based in MDCKII cells transfected with transporter proteins to investigate drug efflux and/or uptake. This cell line is a useful model for the identification of different transporter substrates and inhibitors, also it’s a monolayer system suitable for performing both substrate and inhibition assessments and is often used to model the net transport events.

By using ReadyCell kits, permeability assays are more flexible, cheaper but also reproducible between and among batches to be easily comparable!

Model the net transport events of fluid compartment barrriers

PreadyPort™-MDR1 kits contains 24-insert integrated plates with differentiated MDCKII cells expressing MDR1, as well as the parental cell line. The first member of the PreadyPort™ series, the PreadyPort™-MDR1 kit is revolutionary in providing a ready-to-use tool for MDCKII-MDR1 monolayer assays. The kit will allow researchers to perform MDR1 interaction studies on monolayers without bothering about cell-line licensing and culturing.

Study the interaction of drugs with the BCRP transporter

Monolayer assays using transfected MDCKII-BRCP (ABCG2) cells have been widely recognized tools, acknowledged by the ITC1 , to study the interaction of drugs with the BCRP transporter. This system is suitable for performing both inhibition and substrate assessments. MDCKII-BCRP is often used to model the net transport events of important fluid compartment barriers in the organism that express BCRP at high level. BCRP transporter is present in the blood-brain-barrier, intestine, liver, kidney, testis and mammary tissue.

The MDCKII-MRP2 monolayer system is suitable for performing both substrate and inhibition assessments and is often used to model the net transport events of important fluid compartment barriers in the organism that express MRP2 at a high level, such as human intestinal epithelium, liver and kidney. Predyctive-MRP2 kits contain 24-insert integrated plates with differentiated MDCKII cells expressing MRP2, as well as the parental cell line. The kit will allow researchers to perform MRP2 interaction studies on monolayer’s without bothering about cell-line licensing and culturing.
