At MedTech Barcelona, we believe that our people are the heart of our success. This year, we had the privilege of celebrating 20 years of dedication from four of our esteemed colleagues—Sheila Guisado, Lourdes Gombau, Alberto Corcho, and Marta Corvo.
A legacy of excellence
As part of Leitat, MedTech Barcelona benefits from a strong foundation of expertise and innovation. While MedTech Barcelona is a recently established brand, the know-how and dedication of our team go back two decades, where they have contributed to the advancement of ADME-Tox research and cell-based assay technologies.
Each of them has played a key role in this journey:
- Sheila Guisado, Operations Manager, ensures seamless workflows and efficiency across all departments.
- Lourdes Gombau, R&D Director, drives our research efforts, leading advancements in ready-to-use cell-based assays.
- Alberto Corcho, Head of Production, oversees the manufacturing of our ready-to-use kits, maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Marta Corvo, Subhead of Production, supports production optimization, ensuring reliable processes.
A celebration to remember
To commemorate this special occasion, the MedTech Barcelona team and Leitat’s production unit gathered for a celebratory lunch, reinforcing our shared vision for this new year. It was a time to reflect on the journey so far and to look forward to new opportunities in the advancement of preclinical research.
During the meal, colleagues also shared stories, memories, and words of appreciation for the most senior staff members. The event was completed with a customized cake, a symbol not only of two decades of professional excellence but also of the strong team spirit that defines both companies.
